I know she told me not to touch the cookies but it's just one. She won't miss it.
I'll clean up the den and just tell her I cleaned the whole house.
No mama, I wasn't talking in class.
I wish she'd go to bed so I could get on the phone with Lil Johnny.
I wonder if the car can make it down this flooded street. (it didn't)
She'll never find out.
I don't know about y'all but this is a small list of thoughts from young AR Gal that sometimes managed to get me in world of trouble (and
Backstory-my friend is black. Her husband is white. They have two children, a teenage son (who he claims as his) she had with her first husband and a four year old with her current beau. They have lived in BFE (Butt Phuck Egypt, i.e. the boonies), a predominantly white town, for the past 8 or 9 years. They've never experienced any issues because of their family makeup.
Back to last week. My friend gets a call from her teenage son that a white man is outside of their home threatening him using racial slurs and has wrecked his car by ramming into it several times. My friend is, undoubtedly, upset. Like balling at work while trying to gather her bearings to get home. She's told me a number of times that one of her worst fears is something happening to him and them not being able to get to him. This is mainly because of the distance because she, the husband and younger son travel to the city each day (the commute is about an hour each way ....like I said BFE) because of work and daycare, leaving their oldest in town (basically) alone.
On the way to the house, police are called. The F--B--I -- is called. The ACLU is even on the list to be called but she never got that far. Why? Cause his ass lied about the whole.dang.thing. He had a wreck but was too scared to tell the truth.
*WOMP WOMP*
After investigating the scene, the po po pretty much knew the kid was lying because there were no secondary car tracks (or debris) in the yard and the fact that they had received numerous reports about a black male in a car (like his) driving erratically down the street. He finally gave in and told the truth but only after being threatened with arrest. *sigh*
The kid got off lucky......with the law anyway. That remains to be seen with his parents. He has been stripped of every luxury. No computer access, no Wii, no Ipod, no cell phone, no nothing. I asked her if he'd apologized or if was remorseful about what he'd done. She said she doubted it. When his dad went to claim the iPod he'd forgotten to take during the initial swipe of goods, do y'all know this lil dude had the audacity to say 'You can't take this, it's mine'.
Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllllllllllle...................................................iCan't.
I can't recall off the top of my head if I was ever bold enough to get sassy with my mom after getting busted. If I was, I'm pretty sure I regretted it soon thereafter.
Anyhoo for his sake, I hope he's laying low and willingly doing chores. He's got a lot of kissing up to do.
Let's hear it blog land. What's the dumbest thing you ever did as a kid? Spill your guts in the comments. I double dog dare ya!

Lil Johnny, huh? I knew you were bad.
O_O Wow. He really didn't plan that one out very well. I'd have to go to a dark place to plot a punishment that's cruel enough (yet still legal) for him.
I think I fell asleep or otherwise forgot to pick up my mom from work once when I was a teen. Fortunately, a co-worker brought her home but best believe mama wasn't very happy with me and it took a minute before I was allowed to use the car again.
I was a pretty good kid. However, I did used to go to my friends house across the street and not tell anyone. So they'd be looking for me and I'd be MIA! I didn't get why they were sooo upset and close to giving me the ultimate beat down, but I get it now. :-)
Not.at.all Freaky. Most kids usually don't though.....well unless they are pro's at being super sneaky. He got away with being physically unscathed by the 'rents. I don't know if my pimp hand would have been as generous.
".....but I get it now."
I always hear that from my family and friends. The realization is so clear when raising with your own offspring.
I was a fairly good kid. Sneaky but good. lol
This reminded me of a situation that happen last week. My sister gave her 16 year old son her old car about 6 months ago. He's not allowed to "joy ride". Go to school, go to practice, go to work, go home, and maybe over a friend's house. He called her one day last week asking if he could drive to Wild River County. She told him no. So he was suppose to be heading in the opposite direction to his friend's house. About 20 mins later, he called her saying the car had stopped. He was on the way to Wild River County anyway. LOL When she got to him, she called me asking for a tow truck company's number. She's telling me the story when I commented that's why the car stopped because he was going somewhere he was told not to go and my sister repeated the comment aloud and mentioned she said the same thing. He's in the backseat of her truck sitting in the AC on a 100 degree day when he said "it was going to stop anyway". I'm sure my sister's head spinned. lol She put him out of her truck and made him stand in the heat until the tow truck came. Kids!
Bwahahahahahahahaha!
hmmm... growing up, I was a pretty good kid. and, from the looks of it, you other readers were also goodie two shoes! :-)
However, I do recall the time when a neighbor's car caught on fire in our apartment complex. my sister and i were about 8 or 9, and decided we wanted to go outside with the fire trucks, ambulance, and all the other neighbors who were watching even though our mom said no. we decided to "sneak out" and see what all the commotion was about. in hindsight, we were so dumb... what mother wouldn't notice her only two children were missing from a 2 bedroom apartment? smh... anyway, we decide to go back upstairs to our apartment and the door is... LOCKED! lol! we knock on the door, mama let us in, and proceeded to tear us up with her switch! (side note: do parents still whip kids with switches?) after the switching, i took a bath. warm water, red skin... not a good combo! needless to say we thought twice before even touching that front door knob!
Wow. I'd probably still be beating his arse.
I was a good kid - for real. The worst thing I did was take all three of my brothers for a joyride around the block when I was supposed to just move my Mom's car out of the driveway so we could play basketball. Yep, pretty lame.
Hmmm.... all these GOOD people on here! Yeah I was good too SIKE!
