So it seems..............

I've actually had something to blog about for a few weeks and simply just forgot.

Sh'Nike left! Wooooo Hooooooooooooooo!!!! She applied for a different job in the organization. She's been gone for about a month now. For those who don't know about the person formally known as the thorn in my side, you can read about her here annnnnnnnnnnnd here. To add to the list of reasons why I grew to not really like her, this broad had the most awful & annoying habits, ticks and other miscellaneous things she used to do on the daily. Namely a cough......like the king of coughs......like coughing up both lungs at the same time cough. She rarely covered her mouth and after several hints\recommendations\strong suggestions (by myself and others) to seek medical treatment, she FINALLY went to the doctor..............four months later. Wanna know what the diagnosis was?

GD WALKING PNEUMONIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was PISSED at her and the fact she sat directly next to me with that gunk in her trunk for that long. We've got good medical insurance and plenty of sick time to go around. Hell, the last time I looked I think I had close to 200 sick hours to use.

*makes note to utilize a mental health day soon*

Granted, it's not like she knew but still you just don't cough like that for no reason. Your body does things like that for a reason. This just provided further evidence to me that the chick lacked HEAVILY in the common sense department.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnyway, she's gone. I'm good. Actually, I'm great!!!! Wanna know why?

CAUSE I FINALLY GOT ANOTHER JOB DAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWG!!!!

This exciting news was made official yesterday after I accepted the offer. So in a couple of weeks, I'll be moving over a couple of rows to my new team.

So long, to peace and quiet!
So long, to not having a boss in the office!
So long, to having an entire section to myself!
So long, to.....damn I sure am giving up a lot of perks. LOL

Ah well, I was bored and beyond ready for a change. I'm sure I'll be complaining about something or another in a few months (it's in my nature...what can I say?) but until then.................

YouTube Foolishness: Ice Cream Man Edition

Stupid is as stupid does.

Reality TV Shenanigans.........................

Teen Mom

I fell asleep on it last night about half way through. No worries, that's what repeats are for. I saw Macy(ie\e\whatever) contemplating moving to Nashville to be closer to magilla gorilla. Was I the only one screaming nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!???!!! Did ya'll peep how he was quick to shut down the idea of him moving back to Chattanooga? RED FLAG!

Let me stop but for real....RED FLAG!!! Finish school first home girl (especially while you have a good support system in place), then worry about trying to make it clap for the monchichi.

I didn't see much of Amber or Gary (thank goodness). All of that hollerin' raises my pressure! Speaking of, I sure could go for a burger from The Hop in Little Rock today. YUM! I'll be a good girl and wait until Friday (my designated 'eat out for lunch' day). If you're ever in town, stop by and have one (the one on Cantrell Rd. by Mc'D's NOT the one in the Rivermarket).

I also missed the much hyped blow up between Mrs. Coke-head (aka Catelynn's momma....oh don't tell me ya'll don't think she's on the pipe) and Catelynn.

Farrah was pretty boring this week as far as I could tell. I guess there's not much that's interesting about trying to hustle up rent money. Well unless you're trying to raise the funds on the pole or the cor'na!

US Weekly magazine did a story on the girls a few weeks back (you find these things out being bored at work during down times at work). I only got a chance to read Farrah's. For those of you that don't watch the show, the father of her child died a couple of months before the baby was born. So sad. BUT she also admitted that they weren't on speaking terms before his death but she thinks he would have been a good dad. *coughRyancough* Hmmmmmmmmmm...........perhaps.

RHONJ REUNION (BEEYOTCHES)!!!!!

Do not bring up my family!!!! Do not bring up my family!!!! ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!

Bwahahahahahahahahaha Who watched it? Who saw it? Who can't wait for part deux??

I found this hilarious cartoon parody clip of the RHONY Season 3 reunion

FB Chronicles

I had a couple of comments from some high school classmates on FB regarding some of the content I posted on two separate occasions.

Apparently I need help because I used a picture of a gay man, Lafayette Reynolds (from True Blood), as my profile pic

And I quote, "whats up with this pic, Hon. if you need someone to talk to im always here."

Why don't I just call AA, SA, DA and whatever other anonymous group there is while I'm at it? Honestly, the comment made me crack up laughing when I first read it. Then I re read it and was confused as to why a simple picture would cause such a reaction. Weird much?

After posting about UGK playing on the radio one day, I found out that I'm also apparently hood because I like their music.

Rude boy: I didn't know you were hood.... You know about Sweet Jones (Pimp C).

Me: I hardly think listening to UGK qualifies me as being hood. o_O.

Rude boy: Just a little.

Me: Negro, please stay out of my inbox.

Just to note from the time I friended this dude, he constantly sent me crazy ass messages. I'm sure he meant nothing by it but at this point I was just tired of him bothering me.......hence my reaction.

There's no point to this post (obviously) other than I find people to sometimes by really strange.

And now for a musical selection (that I just thought of at 9:18 pm (about six or seven hours after posting this))

I could tell you...............

about how I went to the ER last night* or about how I finally found another car** BUT Mother Earth intervened (once again) and threw me a taste of phuckery. She knows how I love it so. :D

So below is a wall post from the K97 (a local radio station in Memphis) early morning team. Each week they do the jackass wall which is basically a free for all for people to vent about who or whatever is currently pissing them off. Usually there are a lot of comments from people complaining about their baby daddy, baby mama and of course THE HATERS! *sigh* Sometimes....just sometimes (okay it probably happens more often than I think because there are A LOT of ig'nant folks in Memphis) you get the occasional dummy that should be featured on a 'When Keepin' it Real Goes Wrong' poster.

Ladies and gents, I give to you Diamond Infiniti. Now we are just not going to say A THING about how s\he looks more like the Rock of Gilbralter than a Diamond. But I ain't one to gossip, so you ain't heard it from me!

Just in case you can't see the lovely text:

Diamond Infiniti puttin myself on the jackass wall for playing like i was sick three days last week and taking off work now i got a short ass check today

Here's a better pic of Diamond so you can see what I'm saying.

Really? You telling off on yourself about really not being sick..............ON FACEBOOK! And have the nerve to complain about your check being short as a result of your actions.....................ON FACEBOOK!!!! GIRL\BOY BYE!!! LMAO!!!

*I'm totally fine now. I really don't know what it was but it hurt bad enough to make me feel like my life was in danger. Maybe bad gas?? *shrugs shoulders* Whatever it was had something to do with that daggone Stouffer's lasagna we had for dinner last night. Please trust that none of their products will EVER enter my stomach again. Whatever was going on in my tummy resolved itself before they even got a chance to call me back for the full examination. Go figure.

**I finally found a car at the end of July. It's another Maxima....not a new one *tears* but it's still really nice. *smile*

And now because I can't think of an appropriate musical selection, let's just dance instead.

Is it just me or does CB look uber geigh dancing surrounded by a circle of men.

Name that baby!!!!

OMG, I'm so hating blogger right now. Please excuse the janky font and spacing.

The local news station I watch in the morning loves to interact with their viewers via FB. Quite honestly, I think the morning team has one of the cushiest jobs ever. With only having to do a few interviews, a little weather, read the previous night’s news on the teleprompter and comments to questions they post on FB each day for a couple of hours, I’d say they’ve got it made.

One of the reporters on the show is pregnant with twins and is scheduled to give birth sometime today. So of course the FB topic today centers around babies, more specifically baby names.

Good morning! In honor of _________ set to give birth later today we are talking about baby names. A list of fastest rising baby names in America was just released. Tune into to To.da.y.s T-H--V This Morning at 5:40 to see what they are and we want to know the most unusual name you've ever heard. Do you have a child with an unusual name?

This topic piqued my interest as I had a love\hate (mostly hate) relationship with my uncommon name growing up. I used to curse my mom silently in my head (especially during my tween/early teen years) for giving me such an unusual name. The kids, with their mean asses, teased me mercifully. “Hey Woolite!”, they would say. (Go ahead and laugh.) “Why couldn’t she have named me Nicole, Melissa, Sarah, or Elizabeth?”, I asked. Hell, I would have been happy with Ann (or so I thought). Then I found out why she named me what she did. For those of you not in the know or that may not remember, my father passed away in a car accident right down the street from our house while my mom was pregnant with me. I found out later in life that she, not surprisingly, almost miscarried me. In order to honor my father, she decided to name me after him. Because there was no way of determining my sex (that I know of anyway) it was decided if I were a boy I would be a Jr. (of course) if I were a girl (insert my real name here).

Luckily, time has a way of sorting these things out. Even though my mom got the idea of my first name from a street sign in Memphis (no lie), I’ve grown to love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. Some of the names on the list however? Not so much.

Here are some the unusual names and comments on the post that stood out to me:

Statia

Zing Lee

Typhne...(Tiff-nee not Tiffany) Their words not mine.

Christmas Snow

Iwon (this one made me crack up laughing)

Lexus Mercedes (her last name was also a car) Again, their words not mine. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess her last name is Ford. How dreadful.

Shanda Leir

Arieah Ozma Kaylieth

My great aunt was named Dewdrop. She married a man with the last name Snowball. So she was Dewdrop Snowball!

i went to school with a girl named Whiskey

I once new a girl named Merry Christmas

I know this family. Disney Land has a little brother named Ty Land. Sweet kiddos

I have a uncle named Theron, and a cousin named Booger, for real........

here is list for you of live children and I still can't believe their parent named them this: maryjuana
Conception
Hennesy
Fiancé
Chavoka

I’m not going to ask you to name any of the most unusual names you’ve ever heard but if the spirit moves you then so be it.

And now for a musical selection...............

TOTALED....

Sooooo, the car is totaled. To say I'm in a phucked up mood is an understatement. I thought the car was going to be repaired until the other folks insurance company went to look at it and deemed it totaled. Granted I could still opt to have it repaired but that would be a whole 'nuther hassle with my car insurance making sure they would still insure it with complete coverage (not just liability).

We have a rental (for a little while longer) plus the other car but this has put a total wrench into future plans. Specifically when the boys come in August. Who knows if I'll even have another freaking car by then. Once the rental is gone, Mistah will still need it to go back and forth to work while the boys are here. What are the kids and I supposed to do? Play hide and seek until he comes back? *sigh* I could pay for a rental that week but guess what? I don't want to. They should have to pay but this bitch of a claims agent isn't budging.

I never knew the process of dealing with insurance companies could be so damn frustrating and stressful. You would think that since this wasn't my fault they would be kissing my ass. HA!

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The journey continues...............

SAKURATY!!!!!!!!!

I've been in a two day (all day) planning session with my business unit. I don't know about you but I LOATHE these things.

One because it last alllllllllllllllll day long which is taxing and draining to my spirit and overall mental capacity. My attention span is super duper short so I tend to zone out after about oh say the first hour. I personally think it's better that these sessions be held in a series of half days during morning hours. It's been my experience that productivity decreases HEAVILY after lunch. Ask me how I know.

Two. People that don't know when to shut the hell up. You know the ones. The people that don't realize that it's time to move on BUT love to hear themselves talk so much that they just have to ask a question or make a comment when it's obvious (by the silence in the room) that no one has anything else to contribute to the topic at hand.

Three. SAKURATY!!! In addition to having the meeting off site (which I've been told is good at helping groups focus.....it does nothing for me), our head honcho decided it would be a good idea for us to power off of cells and put them in a box appropriately titled 'cellphone box'. Okay cool, I'll roll with it but don't get mad if I keep asking what time it is since my cellphone is my watch. K? Thanks.

If the box wasn't enough, he designated one of our team members as 'cell phone security' that was given strict orders to only release our phones during breaks. Ummm yeah whatever. It wasn't so much that he assigned someone but who. Sh'Nike!!! You remember her....crazy stalker chick on my team. UGH!!!!!! While I commend her steadfastness she took this shit a little to seriously.

Example 1: Yesterday I asked where the box was....ya know so I could just go and grab my phone when it was time for lunch. Her response? "Oh I hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid them and will issue them out when it is time for us to eat."

GIRL BYE!!!!!!!!!

Example 2: This morning while waiting on everyone to arrive, I was on my phone surfing the web and all that jazz. We still had about 10 minutes or so before we began. There were only handful of us in the room including Sh'Nike. I guess she was bored because while I was in the middle of 'liking' someone's status on FB doing something really important this trollop comes over and stands in front of me with that box. I look up, she smiles and nudges the box my way.

Me:*BLANK STARE*

Sh'Nike: Your phone?

Me: *in my head*

Me: *in reality* We haven't begun the session. I'll place it in the box then.

Sh'Nike: But he put me in charge................

Me: Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha

GIRL GOOD-BYE AND GOODNIGHT!

And yes, I did laugh in her face and so did the guy next to me. Actually he kind of just snickered but I digress. Seriously though......how does one reply to that. Words would not have done it justice. And they wonder why I don't ever want to go to happy hour with them. *smh*

Why you over there lookin’ at me?

My co-worker annoys the Sh’Nikes out of me. Every time I get up from my desk, she breaks her neck to see where I’m walking. Every time I walk back to my desk, she just stares…..intently. Now I just avoid eye contact with her and keep my eyes focused in whatever direction I’m going (but I can still see her looking in my peripheral vision). This behavior is strange (to me) as my personality is such that I really could care less about what anyone around me is doing.

You’re going to a meeting? Do I have to go? No? Great! Have fun!

You have a visitor at your desk? Good for you! I can’t hear what you’re saying over the music in my headphones anyway.

You’re trying to sneak out early? Great! Have loads of fun!

You diggin’ a booger out of your nose? Ewww but just don’t flick it over here or let me catch you eating it ‘cuz I’m tellin’!

That reminds me, I have a short story about that.

As long as you are not a disgruntled employee and refrain from coming into the building to shoot ‘em up at the OK Corral then we’re good.

This chick though…..she’s just different and stuff. She’s been in our group for almost one year but has been with the organization for maybe three or so. She was placed here during the re-org that happened last year. One experience I had early on really helped shape my opinion of her.

I was working on a report and needed no distractions so I sought refuge in one of the empty conference rooms on the opposite end of our department’s floor. During a break, I visited the lady’s room and went to my desk to grab a granola bar to snack on. I saw her sitting at her desk so I spoke.

Me: Hey Sh’Nike

Sh’Nike: Hey AR Gal, I missed you!

Me: *strange look on my face* Girl ion't even know you Ummmmm, oh. Well, I’ll see you later.

(I must point that I had only known this chick for maybe a month up to this point)

As I walked back to the conference room, I heard heels clomping (loudly) on the floor. I turned to see who it was and saw her little head peeking around the corner watching me to see where I was going. I turned my head back around and headed to the stairwell to go up one floor and came back down in one of the side stairwells to get back to the conference room. Like I said I needed no distractions and the last thing I wanted was her following me to find out my top secret location. LOL Now in my head, I was thinking….seriously WHO DOES THAT?! In my heart I was thinking, this beesh is CRAZY! I laugh about it now when I tell that story but really….WHO DOES THAT??!!

Drop down low and sweep tha flo' wit it!

The mother of an infant daughter wearing her first lacefront wig writes: “It’s never too early for my baby to start looking glamorous like Beyonce!”
Mom said she had the wig custom made human hair to match her own lacefront. “I wouldn’t be caught dead without my lacefront and my baby won’t either!” she wrote.
But is that adhesive glue safe or gentle enough for the child’s baby hairs?

Ummmm, excuse you!

This year Halloween fell on a weekend and I was cooped up in the house pretty much all day with the exception of taking the pooches walking early in the morning. Around 5 o'clock that evening, I got antsy and had the urge to jump ship. I slapped on a pair of jeans, a white tee, a jacket and my sneaks and I was out tha do' yo! After reading a few blogs about knitting, I was inspired and decided my destination was Hobby Lobby. My mission, if I chose to accept it.....learn how to knit.

As I arrived in the store, I browsed other sections until I made my way over to where the knitting stuff was. I was sooooo ready and excited as I looked at all the pretty types, colors, and textures of yarn. And all the pretty types, colors, sizes of needles. And all the different types of 'how to' books. Then I got bored. *sigh* Reality sunk in and I realized this wasn't for me for right now. I still want to do it BUT I know me. I need to take a class. I need hands on help because me trying to interpret what was in those books and stay motivated on my own=KNITTING FAIL. Womp womp. So that was that and I headed off to a store where I knew I could make a positive impact on the economic crisis....TAR.GET BEESHES!! I'm happy to report I only walked out with an exercise DVD of The Firm. Have ya'll tried it? They thighs have never been so tight. Well yes they have but....never mind.

Anyway, so I'm headed home right? Right. As I turn down my street, I notice there are still quite a few people out getting free candy trick or treating some of who happen to be right in front of our driveway. Before I come to a halt, I hit the garage opener to give the folks a heads up that I'm trying to get in the driveway. You would think the combination of that, me sitting in the car in the street not moving, and the garage door going up would trigger something in their heads to move but nerp. There they stood and there I sat trying to be patient and understanding. I inch up a bit and do you know those country bumpkins still don't budge. Bump this!!

Me: *rolling down my window and screaming with extreme at-ti-tude* Ummmmmm, excuse me can you all MOVE! I'm trying to get in my driveway.

So they move, I pull in and then this happens.

Some random chick with kids: Ummmmmmm, excuse you!

Me: *thinking I know this bitch did NOT just try and get jiggy with me* Come again?

SRC: I said excuse you.

Me: Bitch I don't know who the hell you think you talking to but it would behoove you to shut the fuck up.

SRC: Well you didn't have to be so rude when asking us to move.

Me: You didn't have to take all day moving your ass. You saw me waiting in my car, you saw the garage door open. Did you think I was doing it for my health? What else did you want? An invitation??? Step the hell off.

And she did but damn. If she and her folks would have just moved in the first place all of that could have been avoided. Did I really have to cuss her out? Probably not but I did and I would do it all over again in a NY minute. After all that mess, I probably needed to knit...hell.

I'm over it now but a hoe had ya girl heated!!!! Anyway, since she decided to bring the hood out me, I will leave you all with a bit of musical accompaniment from the Ghetto Boys.

By Jove, I think I've got it!!!

I think I FINALLY figured out why Sheree' (aka 'Who 'gone check me boo?!') on Real Housewives of ATL makes my stomach lurch.

She looks and acts like a younger, more melanin rich version of my boss! Her face, mannerisms, the whole package well minus the face wart but still..............

BAM!

Picture it........ July 17, 2009.........lunch hour..........Wendy's drive through window

I should have known something was a bit off about her after placing my order. I heard her make a strange noise after telling me my total but just blew it off since I really wasn't paying much attention. I pulled up to the window to pay for my food and handed her a twenty. She takes it and I hear it again. Hmmmmm, sounds like she's saying ma'am I say to myself. As she hands me my change, I hear it again. I stop fiddling with my phone long enough to absorb what just came out of her mouth. Did this broad just say what I think she said???? Is she really saying BAM after each action???

She hands me my food and sure enough.....BAM!!

I check my order to make sure everything is there and ask for some dipping sauce (I guess she was so busy bam'n everyone she forgot to ask if I needed any).

She hands me the sauce and yep you guessed it.........BAM!!

The shit was so surreal I almost felt like I was in a freakin Billy Mays commercial.

I don't wanna be saved.........

Yesterday Z and I went to sit and visit with Mr. B and his sister (click here to find out why). We had probably been there the better part of 30 or 40 minutes when the doorbell rings with more company stopping by to pay their respects. This guy comes in with his two daughters. He introduces himself and his kids, they sit down, and we continue to talk. Mr. B was telling us a story about when he used to live in CA and drove down to AR with some friends of his. He had us rolling laughing, it was hilarious. lol Then, he (the guest) did it. He started the interrogation. What's that you ask? The interrogation that always starts with that oh so "innocent" question......."So what church do you go to?". *RMERHTTWMS* (rolling my eyes real hard 'til the white meat shows". I knew as soon as he fixed his mouth to ask where that convo was headed and released a deep sigh as a warning signal to let his ass know I wasn't in the mood.

If there's one thing I absolutely CANNOT stand is churchfolk. And not just any ole' churchgoer. The kind that feels that their life's work is to make you their hoe and them the captain to help save you from the "unholy" and "unchristianlike" life they think you are leading by not going to church or by practicing another faith other than christianity. REALLY? GTFOH!

Anyway, so it started with that question and he kept on and on and on. Especially after Z told him he was of Sooni-Muslim faith and I told him I was non-denominational. Oh goodness no...not that! You would have thought the man said he worshipped satan and he pretty much implied that I did because being non-denominational now means that you don't believe in God. REALLY? I say again GTFOHWTHBS!!!! After about 20 minutes (too long) of his ass being way more than too nosey, he and Z going back and forth about their different faiths (read dude trying to tell Z what he believed was wrong), and me seeing Mr. B give ole' boy the side-eye no less than 3 times I put a stop to it all.

Me: "Excuse me Mr. ....what's your name again?
Mistah: Mr. S
Me: Mr. S, with all due respect, this is neither the time NOR the place for this conversation. We are all here, or are supposed to be here, for one reason and one reason only...to visit with Mr. B. and Grace and support them right now NOT to have a come to Jesus meeting. Now if it's not too terribly hard for you, would you mind keeping your questions and/or comments regarding the way WE (pointing and Z and myself) live our lives to yourself. Thanks.
Mistah: Oh sister
Me: I ain't ya sister
Mistah: Oh, *sarcastic chuckle* well Ms. I meant no harm I was just trying to get to know you and your...is it your husband or boyfriend.
Me: *taking a deep breath with a smirk on my face* He is my boyfriend (I had to REALLY resist the urge to say "AND??", lmao)but I can see where this is going and I will not entertain you any longer, just know people like you are the reason why I no longer participate in organized religion.

Just then the doorbell rings (such impeccable timing) and in walks his wife. She came in and introduced herself and I personally felt that I was our que to mosey on up out of that joint. We said our goodbyes and do you know this dude tried to actually hug me?? AS IF?! I extended my hand to shake his, told his ass bye and went over to hug Mr. B and Grace.

Needless, to say Z and I heard great conversation about Captain Save a Soul when we returned home. At first I was a little remorseful about saying what I said in front of his kids. Then I wasn't and got over it. I'm sure this dude does this all of the time so this is something they are used to. I kinda feel sorry for them because their daddy is dumb as a box of rocks.

Today, after returning from grocery shopping, Mr. B called and asked if could he come over. Once he arrived, he told us he had come to apologize for the way ole boy treated us. Hmmmm, seems I read those side-eyes correctly. lol He also said that he did another one of his guests that came to visit later that evening the exact same way! Really? Dude needs to be bitch slapped with his bible....like for real. Of course we told Mr. B that there was no need for him to apologize. It's not his fault his church fam is an idiot. I did apologize to Mr. B, I had actually planned on calling him today when I returned home, for overstepping my bounds in his home. He told me there was no need for my apology because he would have done the same thing. lol I heart him. Mr. B said the next time he is over there and tries that he will put a stop to himself because it is extremely rude and disrepectful to him and to his guests. I concur!!! Go Mr. B!! I'd pay to be a fly on that wall when that happens. lol

I'm just glad I finally opened my mouth to voice my opinion. Granted I may have been in the wrong with my timing but I was beyond sick and tired of his useless drivel. There have been SO many times when I would just let something like that slide because of the "respect your elders" clause but you know what...I just don't care anymore. I was so put off by his bitchassedness (with his six car garage that has no cars in it because they all sit outside....yeah he's a strange one...or a big fat liar) and the fact that he put respect by the wayside for the sake of his own agenda. Over the years, I've found myself becoming more and more disgusted by people like him. It's obvious they lack the basics of hometraining and common sense. I love my life and the way I live it. It works for me. I don't need your stamp of approval nor do I need your advice on ways to live a "better" life. Please believe if and when I need your opinion, I will ask. Until then, kick rocks and kiss my ass.
